Privacy Policy

RallyPoint is a free fan tool, and we keep data collection to the minimum needed to coordinate lobbies. We don’t sell your data, run ads, or track you across other sites.

What we collect

  • Guest identity: a random id and the display name you choose, kept in your browser (localStorage) and stored on our server so we can group you into sessions. No password, no email.
  • Discord sign-in (optional): if you log in with Discord, we receive your Discord user id, username, and avatar (scope identify only — we do not get your email). This is used to recognise you across devices.
  • Notifications (optional): if you enable alerts, we store a push subscription token for your device so we can notify you when a session forms. Remove it anytime by disabling notifications.
  • Suggestions: anything you submit in the suggestion box, stored with your id if we have one.
  • Analytics:we use PostHog to understand product usage (page views and events like “raised a banner”). Autocapture is off — we don’t record your screen, clicks, or keystrokes. You can opt out anytime (see below).

Where your data lives

RallyPoint runs on Vercel (hosting), Neon (Postgres database), and PostHog (analytics). The lobby names you coordinate with are not connected to Age of Empires IV in any way — there is no game API involved.

Your choices

  • Analytics opt-out: visit rallypoint-omega.vercel.app/?notrack=1 in any browser to permanently exclude that browser from analytics.
  • Guest identity: clear your browser storage to wipe your local guest id and name.
  • Notifications: turn them off in your browser or OS settings at any time.
  • Deletion: ask us (via the suggestion box or the Discord) to remove your data.

Cookies & storage

We use the minimum needed: browser storage for your guest identity and preferences, a session cookie if you sign in with Discord, and analytics storage (which the opt-out above disables).

Age

RallyPoint isn’t directed at children under 13, and Discord sign-in requires you to meet Discord’s minimum age.
